Abstract:

Acupuncture is widely used in joint-related or thopaedic diseases. " Dredging the meridians, promoting blood circulation, and rectifying evils" are the traditional theoretical mechanisms of Chinese medicine, while those of modern medicine are" releasing pains and improving the microenvironment" . A large number of studies have verified its exact effect, and it has become an effective treatment of joint-related diseases. Through searching PubMed, CNKI, Wanfang and other databases to review the literature on acupuncture treatment of joint-related diseases, the researches in recent years at home and abroad were collated and analyzed. It was found that the current researches are mostly retrospective studies with small sample sizes. The design of randomized double-blind controlled experiments with multiple centers and large samples will be more conducive to further confirm the efficacy of acupuncture treatment of joint-related diseases. The paper also explores its mechanism, to better apply it to clinical practice.
