Clinical progress of acupuncture treatment for limb dysfunction after stroke

Abstract:

Stroke is one of the major diseases that seriously endanger human health. Its high disability rate severely affects patients' quality of life, and brings huge economic pressure and psychological burden to families and society.Acupuncture, as one of the important treatment methods in traditional Chinese medicine, has been widely applied in stroke.Existing studies have shown that acupuncture can effectively improve limb dysfunction after stroke, which is safe, reliable, effective, economical and convenient, and isgenerally accepted by patients. However, there are still some problems in clinical studies, which need further discussion.In this study, from the three stages of acute stage, convalescence stage and sequelae stage, the literature on acupuncture treatment of limb dysfunction after stroke in the past three years was sorted out, the current research status of acupuncture therapy was reviewed and compared, and the existing problems were summarized, so as to provide a stronger basis for further research.
