Research progress of acupuncture treating post-stroke motor aphasia

Abstract:

Aphasia is one of the common sequelae of stroke, which seriously affects the quality of life of patients, so the treatment of aphasia after stroke is particularly important. Acupuncture and moxibustion gain better clinical effect in the treatment of aphasia after stroke. The main treatment methods are body acupuncture therapy, scalp acupuncture therapy, tongue acupuncture therapy, and combined language rehabilitation training, drugs, transcranial magnetic stimulation and so on. This paper introduces the research progress of acupuncture in the treatment of post-stroke motor aphasia in the past five years, and expounds the current advantages and limitations of related treatment methods, as well as the prospect of its research.
