Advances in clinical experience in osteoarthritis treated with acupuncture and moxibustion

Abstract

Abstract:

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a frequently occurring disease in middle-aged and elderly, most of which occurs in weight-bearing joints such as hip and knee. Acupuncture and moxibustion plays an important role in its conservative treatment. In recent years, many studies have reported that acupuncture has good curative effect and unique advantages in the treatment of OA. Research progress of several commonly used clinical methods such as filiform acupuncture, electroacupuncture and warm acupuncture were reviewed, and the influencing factors of acupuncture and moxibustion research were summarized, so as to provide ideas and references for clinical application and further experimental research.
