Hemorrhoids are common anorectal diseases that can occur at any age, and with the growth of age, the incidence of disease gradually increases.According to the different sites of the disease, hemorrhoids can be divided into internal hemorrhoids, external hemorrhoids and mixed hemorrhoids. There are many ways to treat hemorrhoids in clinical practice, and most of them are operations by western medicine, in which the hemorrhoids are removed directly. However, there are many post-operative complications, which affect the quality of life of patients.Acupuncture therapy has a good effect on hemorrhoids, with less pain, high safety, easy operation, so it is widely used and patients are willing to accept. The common methods on acupuncture treatments of hemorrhoids include acupuncture therapy, moxibustion therapy, auriculo therapy and particular therapy. Acupuncture and moxibustion therapy has the function of regulating qi and blood. This paper summarizes the clinical effect of acupuncture and moxibustion on hemorrhoids in recent years, hoping to provide some reference for the acupuncture and moxibustion treatment of hemorrhoids in the future, and to alleviate the pain of patients.
