国医大师石学敏院士临证注重"治神"，提出"神之所在、神之所主、神之所病、神之所治——四神论"。从多方面剖析了神的内涵，形成了其独特的治神学术体系。醒脑开窍针刺法是石学敏院士基于"窍闭神逆、神不导气"之病机，提出的一种具有养神、醒神、调神、治神的针刺疗法，其突出了针以守神、效以神应、施术治神的思想。该文从醒脑开窍针刺法立论于神、施术于神、治病于神、变化于神四个维度对醒脑开窍针刺法治神思想作了钩玄。意在强调醒脑开窍针刺法治疗中风病立论于脑——这一元神之府。施术时强调神气相随，必以"神应"为度。治病当以调神为先。临证之时，多宗"治神"之旨，活用于他病。

Master of Chinese medicine, academician Shi Xuemin emphasizes " treating spirit" in his clinical practice, and proposed " where the spirit is, what doesspirits manage, what are the diseases associated with pirit, and what doesspirit treat—the four theories of the spirit" . The theories analyzed the connotation of the spirit from various ascepts and formed an unique academic system of treating spirit. The Xingnao Kaiqiao acupuncture is an acupuncture therapy that nourishes, awakens, regulates and cures the spirit based on the pathological mechanism of " the orifice is closed, the spirit is hidden, and the spirit does not guide the qi" . This acupuncture therapy is characterized by using acupuncture to guard the spirits, the effect responding to the spirit, and using acupuncture to treat the spirit. This article analyzed Xingnao Kaiqiao acupuncture from 4 dimensions of theories based on the spirit, acupuncture manipulation based on the spirit, treatment based on the spirit and changes based on the spirit. We aimed to emphasize that Xingnao Kaiqiao acupuncture for stoke treatment is based on the brain—house of the original spirit. In acupuncture treatmnt, the spirit and qi should follow each other, and the " spirit response " should be taken as an evaluation index. When treating the disease, the first priority is to regulate the spirit. When treating the disease, keep the principle " treating spirit" and applied it to other diseases.
