高血压是以体循环动脉压升高引发一系列症状为主要表现的临床综合征，高血压靶器官损害以心、脑和肾为主。高血压病病因复杂，发病机制不明确，尚无有效治疗方法。中国工程院院士石学敏教授针对人们对“治未病”的误解，指出高血压病“既病防变”是中医“治未病”核心及精髓所在。在深入研究古籍和总结临床多年经验基础上，结合现代医学理论，提出“气海”失司是高血压病的主要病机。其针刺治疗高血压病临床经验丰富，方法独特，效果满意。对此加以介绍并评述，以期为同仁提供参考。
