To observe the clinical effect of " dynamic retaining needle" in the treatment of atlantoaxial joint disorder vertigo.

Sixty-four patients with atlantoaxial joint disorder type vertigo, admitted in the Second Department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion of Chongqing Jiangbei District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from December 2018 to December 2019, were selected and randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group according to the random number table, with 32 cases in each group. The treatment group was treated with " dynamic retaining needle" , and the control group was treated with conventional acupuncture, once a day for 7 days. After treatment, two independent sample t-test was used to compare the scores of dizziness, neck and shoulder pain and headache in the two groups before and after treatment; χ² test was used to compare the clinical efficacy of the two groups.

(1) The difference of dizziness score, neck and shoulder pain score, and headache score between the two groups after treatment was statistically significant (t=-2.598, -1.318, -4.79, all P<0.05). (2) In the treatment group, 9 cases were cured, 19 were markedly effective, 2 were effective, and 2 were ineffective. The total effective rate was 93.75% (30/32). In the control group, 3 cases were cured, 8 were markedly effective, 13 were effective, and 8 were ineffective, the total effectiverate was 75.00%(24/32). The clinical efficacy of the two groups was compared, and the difference was statistically significant (χ²=10.08, P<0.05).

" Dynamic retaining needle" has a significant clinical effect in the treatment of atlantoaxial joint disorder type vertigo, which can be promoted clinically.
