Current status of research on the mechanism of Xingnao Kaiqiao acupuncture for diseases of multipel systems

Abstract:

Xingnao Kaiqiao acupuncture is an innovative acupuncture method founded by master of Chinese medicine, academician Shi Xuemin, and this therapy takes the basic principle of curing the mind. The clinical efficacy has been confirmed by many studies, and its clinical application value is great. At present, although a large diagnostic and therapeutic system has been formed to treat stroke mainly by Xingnao Kaiqiao acupuncture, its inner mechanism has not been fully elucidated. In this review, by summarizing the possible mechanism of Xingnao Kaiqiao acupuncture in multiple systems, the mechanism of Xingnao Kaiqiao acupuncture in stroke, neurodegenerative diseases (vascular cognitive impairment, Parkinson′s disease), joint pain diseases, pediatric diseases, surgical diseases, endocrine and systemic diseases was preliminarily revealed, and the inner multidimensional effect pathways such as regulating related nerves, metabolism and inflammatory factors were explored. It is hoped to provide a reference for researchers to further explore the mechanism and connotation of Xingnao Kaiqiao acupuncture.
