Abstract:

Objective

To explore the clinical effect of acupuncture at different acupuncture parameters in acupoint point GB40（Qiuxu）through to point KI16（Zhaohai）on strephenopodia after stroke.

Methods

Seventy-nine patients with stroke treated by acupuncture and moxibustion at Changji Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June，2012 to December，2015 were included in this study.According to the method of random number table，40 patients were divided into treatment group and 39 cases were in control group.Acupuncture was given to patients1 per day，6 times for one week，and totally for 28 days.The angle of protractor and the walking ability were compared before and after the treatment between two groups by the paired t test.The two independent sample t test was used to compare between groups.

Results

After treatment，the angle of strephenopodia was significantly decreased in treatment group （t=3.902，P＜0.05）.The angle of strephenopodia was also significantly decreased after treatment in control group（t=2.232，P＜0.05）.The angle of strephenopodia was changed less in control group compared with that of treatment group （t=3.622，P＜0.05）.The walking ability was much better in patients of treatment group than that of control group （t=2.253，P＜0.05）.

Conclusion

Under the condition of acupuncture treatment＂consciousness-restoring resuscitation acupuncture＂for stroke，it is found that the clinical efficacy of＂qiuxu through to zhaohai＂is better，improving strephenopodia in patients after stroke.
