Abstract:

In recent years, the number of patients with clinical tinnitus and deafness has increased significantly, which has seriously affected the life quality of patients. Western medicine treatment of this disease is mainly by dilating blood vessels, improving circulation in the inner ear, and nourishing the nerves, but the treatment effect is not very satisfactory. Professor Ni Guangxia believes that the disease is characterized by localized symptoms in the ear, but its origin is in the brain. Combining with the physiological and pathological relationship between the brain and the ear, he proposed that the etiology and pathogenesis of the disease is " brain spirit is out of control, ear orifices are blocked", and based on this theory, he created the " Xingnao Tonger" acupuncture method, which has a solid clinical effect. This article will analyze the clinical experience of Prof. Ni Guangxia intreating tinnitus and deafness fromthe etiology and pathogenesis of the disease, basic theory, manipulation methods, meaning of foluma and clinical cases of " Xingnao Tonger" acupuncture, in order to provide a broader idea for the clinical treatment of tinnitus and deafness.
