Effects of point ST9(Renying) on regulating blood pressure

Abstract:

In recent years,progress has been made in the research of effect of acupuncturing at point ST9(Renying)on the antihypertension at home and abroad.Acupuncturing at point ST9(Renying)with standard manipulation proposed by SHI Xuemin,the master of traditional Chinese medicine,China Academy of engineering,is clinically applied with a favourable curative effects.The author,as an apprentice,found in clinical practice that the point ST9(Renying)acupoint not only has an antihypertensive effect,but also has a role in elevation of blood pressure,significantly effective in treatment of the regulation and maintaining stability of blood pressure.In this paper,the authors has discussed the theoretical foundation and functional mechanism of treating hypertension by acupuncturing at point ST9(Renying)from the ancient literature to modern anatomy and clinical research.This article focuses on the role of compatibility of points with acupuncture points as the primary in the regulation of blood pressure.
