Abstract:
Objective
To observe the clinical effects of treatment with acupuncture combined pricking blood cupping on peripheral facial paralysis,and explore the rule of acupuncture with pricking blood cupping for peripheral facial paralysis.
Methods
Seventy-seven patients with peripheral facial paralysis within one day were randomly divided into treatment group(n=38)and control group(n=39).In treatment group the treatment of acupuncture and pricking blood cupping were applied at different stages.In control group acupuncture was applied and the points were as same as the treatment group at different stages for one week.The efficacy was observed after 4sessions of treatment.SPSS 14.0statistic software and χ2test were used for data analysis.P﹤0.05was considered significant.
Results
The total curative rate were 94.7%(36/38)and 79.4%(31/39)in treatment group and control group,which was significantly higher than that of control group(χ2=4.66,P﹤0.05).
Conclusion
The early and suitable application of acupuncture with pricking blood cupping can achieve high curative rate in patients with peripheral facial paralysis.
