Abstract:

In recent years, with the increasing integration of traditional Chinese medicine and modern detection technologies, the use of modern techniques to interpret the essence of traditional Chinese medicine has emerged as a major development trend in the field of acupuncture and Tuina. Thanks to the advancements in related technologies, ultra-weak photon emission, an energy metabolism phenomenon ubiquitous in living organisms, has been extensive utilized in the biomedical field, including the foundational research of acupuncture and Tuina. It is employed to assess the functional state of meridians and acupoints, verify the mechanisms of acupuncture, and evaluate the therapeutic effects of Tuina, thereby enhancing the scientific accuracy and efficiency of diagnoses and treatments. Despite of challenges such as high precision requirements for the equipment and susceptibility to light source interference, ongoing technological advancements and achievement of standardization are expected to enable ultra-weak photon emission technology to significantly contribute to the development of precision medicine, further advancing the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine.
