Abstract:

The Huangdi Three-Version of A-B Classic of Acupuncture and Moxibustion( Classic of Acupuncture and Moxibustion), compiled by Huang-Fu Mi, included Plain Conversation, Spiritual Pivot and Mingtang Kongxue Zhenjiu Zhiyao. This book is not only the first monograph on acupuncture and moxibustion in history, but also the first comprehensive monograph on Huangdi Neijing, based on research on the date of its completion, compilation principles, excerpts and comparison of works. It preserves Mingtang Kongxue Zhenjiu Zhiyao which was written at the same time as Huangdi Neijing. Owing to the losing of literatures about acupoints in the period from written time of Classics of Acupuncture and Moxibustion to Sui and Tang Dynasty, the content of Mingtang Kongxue Zhenjiu Zhiyao became extremely precious, so that the formation of science on acupoints can be traced. According to the number of meridian points, the elements of meridian points, as well as writing time and academic significance, it can be proved that science on acupoints was formed in the same generation as the Huangdi Neijing. Classics of Acupuncture and Moxibustion is of great significance to the historical tracing, academic research and the development of traditional Chinese medicine.
