Multiple System Atrophy(MSA) is a sporadic and rapidly progressive neurodegenerative disease. This disease belongs to the category of vertigo, flaccid syndrome, prickly heat and so on in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Later generations of doctors applied symptomatic treatments with acupuncture or acupuncture combined with drugs, andthe clinical curative effect was remarkable. Based on the literature of the past decade, this paper summarizes the application of acupuncture and moxibustionas well as the combined therapy with acupuncture and medicine in the treatment of MSA, and analyzes its treatment principles and methods, so as to provide a reference for the future treatment of MSA.
