Abstract:

To investigate the clinical importance of treatment of“controlling spririt”with acupuncture in the process of practice.Through the retrieval of ancient medical literature，ancient doctor of literature retrieval，the discourse of“controlling spririt”was excerpted from a number of classic books，which was analyzed and discussed to elaborate three aspects including concept of“spririt”，original meaning of“spririt”and controlling“spririt”.The importance of controlling spririt in the process of acupuncture has clinical significance.We suggest that for“controlling spririt”，keep it first.Clinical doctors should be familiar with the disease，and be familiar with the operation on the acupuncture by heart.Clinical doctors and patients should do“spririt”when keep it at the same time.The“controlling spririt”is the premise of good curative effect of acupuncture，which is also a result of long time training，insight，and the accumulation of experience of clinical doctors.
