Abstract:

Vascular remodeling in hypertension is an important pathological link of target organ damage caused by hypertension. Therefore, the treatment of hypertension should not be limited to blood pressure itself, but also pay attention to vascular protection and reversal of vascular remodeling. Acupuncture is an appropriate therapy recommended by the World Health Organization for treating hypertension. Research results at home and abroad show that acupuncture has a significant antihypertensive effect, but the mechanism is stillunclear. Combined the positive effects of acupuncture on cardiovascular diseases, new research ideas for acupuncture to improve or reverse hypertensive vascular remodeling and protect target organs were put forwardby analyzing the main mechanisms of hemodynamics, vasoactive substances and extracellular matrix involved in hypertensive vascular remodeling, with a view to providing reference for related research in the future.
