Abstract:

Chronic eczema is a common dermatological disease, attacking the skin and often involving the lungs, the spleen, the kidneys and other organs. Proper medication can alleviate symptoms, but the condition is easy to repeat and aggravate, and it is difficult to completely cure. The author′s mentor believes that Yang deficiency and Yin excess are the root cause of the disease, and the external pathogen of wind, dampness and heat is the predisposing factor. He emphasizes the treatment principle of inducing fire to help Yang dispel internal dampness, and removing external dampness by dispersing wind and clearing heat. When all the pathogenic factors are eliminated, symptoms such as " itch, spot, rot and rash" can be alleviated. The idea of " internal combined with external treatment, and various therapies rooted in the principle of strengthening vital qi" runs through the whole process of diagnosis and treatment, which has achieved remarkable results. The author follows his mentor with honor in treating chronic eczema with fire needle combined with traditional Chinese medicine decoction, and the clinical practice is briefly introduced in the paper.
