Abstract:

Post-stroke sleep disorders (PSSD)are common complications after stroke. In view of the pathogenesis, Chinese medicine believes that they are related to deficiency of Qi in five zang organs, deficiency of Qi and blood, imbalance of yin and yang, disharmony between the spleen and stomach, and stagnation of phlegm and blood stasis.Modern medicine believes that they are related to the locations of disease, neuropsychological factors, neurotransmitter and cytokines secretion, as well as social psychological factors and so on.Because of its diverse clinical manifestations, international classification of sleep disovders diagnostic criteria are widely used in China.In treatment, western medicine often uses benzodiazepine receptor agonists, but there are many adverse reactions.Traditional Chinese medicine treatment often selects acupuncture, herbal medicine and other methods according to different types of syndrome, which causes good effects and less adverse reactions, so that ithas many advantages in clinical.This article reviews the pathogenesis, diagnostic criteria and treatment of PSSD.
