Abstract:
Objective
To observe effects of pressing XinRenYingXue on the prevention of vascular spasm in patients with peripheral inserted central catheter(PICC).
Methods
A total of 179 patients who selected from Weihai Municipcal Hospital ranging from May to December 2013 and met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into observation group(n=90)and control group(n=89).During catheterization, observation group were pressed on their XinRenYingXue,while control group were only given more communication.Catheterization pain score was analyzed with t-test,and vascular spasm incidence rate and phlebitis incidence rate were analyzed withχ2 test.P<0.05 was considered to be statistically significant.
Results
The vascular spasm incidence rate was(13.3%,12/90)in observation group, which was significantly lower than that of control group(28.1%,25/89,χ2=5.94,P<0.05).The phlebitis incidence rate was(4.4%,4/90)in observation group, which was significantly lower than that of control group(16.9%,15/89,χ2=7.26,P<0.05).The pain score was(4.81±1.24)in observation group, which was significantly lower than that of control group(13.64±1.52,t=42.61,P<0.01).
Conclusion
Results suggest that pressing XinRenYingXue can effectively prevent vascular spasm, reduce pain and decrease phlebitis incidence rate in PICCpatients.
