Abstract:
Objective
Meta analysis was carried out on the relevant clinical randomized controlled trial (RCT), which showed the curative effect of fire needle treatment for acne from the perspective evidence-based medicine.
Methods
Using the computer retrieval way, RCT data of acupuncture and moxibustion treatment of acne before December 2015 were collected. According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, two researchers independently conducted literature screening, data extraction, quality evaluation and cross examination. RevMan5.3 was used for statistical analysis. The curative effects on acne were compared between fire needle and antibiotic drug treatment.
Results
A total of 7 highquality RCT were incorporated in this study including 965 patients. 7 studies and the cure rate of combined RR=4.68,95%CI(3.34,6.55) ,show the efficiency of merger RR=2.62,95%CI(2.00,3.34),total effective merger RR=1.16,95%CI(1.11,1.21) .Fire needle group and western medicine(antibiotics)on the cure rate, significant efficiency and total effective rate comparison, the differences were statistically significant(Z=8.98,6.97,6.53,P<0.0001).
Conclusion
Now the clinical evidence at this stage shows that fire needle treatment for acne is superior to antibiotic medicines in the cure rate, significant efficiency and total effective rate.
