Study of the etiology and pathogenesis of poststroke depression using Chinese and western medicine research progress

Abstract:

The poststroke depression is one of the most common complications of stroke,which may be related with a variety of influencing factors,such as neural anatomy,neurotransmitter,neuroendocrine,inflammatory reaction,neurotrophic factor and social psychological factors. Chinese medicine studied the etiology,lesion and pathogenesis of poststroke,and further studying on the five zangorgans lesions in the pathogenesis of depression after stroke. The study summarized the research progress on etiology and pathogenesis of the traditional Chinese and western medicine in depression after stroke.
