Abstract:

The prolonged retention of scalp acupuncture is widely used in clinical practice, but its application is rather arbitrary, lacking clear consensus and standards.Through the review of relevant literature in the past decade,it has been found that the prolonged retention of scalp acupuncture has significant effects in the treatment of neurological diseases, psychotic disorders and emotional diseases. At the same time, the research also reveals the deficiencies in the formulation of operation standards and the study of mechanism effects, such as the standardization of operation time, needling depth and retention time.Future research should focus on establishing comprehensive operation standards, identifying preponderant disease categories, and exploring its mechanism of action in depth.Meanwhile, interdisciplinary cooperation should be strengthened to promote the integration of scientific research and clinical application of the prolonged retention of scalp acupuncture.
