Abstract:

This paper systematically summarizes the application status quo and development trends of characteristic clinical acupuncture and moxibustion techniques.Nearly 100 existing characteristic clinical acupuncture and moxibustion techniques are classified into four categories, namely acupuncture-based techniques,moxibustion-based techniques, minimally invasive techniques, and other techniques.Meanwhile,a longitudinal analysis is carried out from aspects such as the historical development, clinical and basic applications, standardization, and international exchanges of these characteristic clinical acupuncture and moxibustion techniques. While characteristic clinical acupuncture and moxibustion techniques have demonstrated remarkable efficacy in clinical applications, they still face challenges in basic research, standardization, and international promotion. In the future, acupuncture and moxibustion techniques should be combined with advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence to promote the development of intelligent scientific research, strengthen the two-way transformation between basic research and clinical practice, improve operation specifications, and promote the process of standardization and internationalization. This will enhance the influence of acupuncture and moxibustion in the global medical field and make greater contributions to human health.
