Abstract:

The Shenci Nayang acupuncture is an acupuncture method developed by the author, which has the function of harmonizeing Yang and Yin. It can be used to treat various diseases caused by the disfunction of the orifice. The foundation of this acupuncture method is derived from the emphasis of Yang in the Yellow Emperors Canon of Internal Medicine, which holds that the cause of " disfunction of orifice" is due to Yang disfunction, such as Yang deficiency and loss of warming, causing the blocing of orifices. Therefore, the treatment should follow the acupuncture treatment principle of " Drawing Yin from Yang, drawing Yang from Yin" in the Yellow Emperors Canon of Internal Medicine. During treatment, choosing the acupoints of Yang position, puncturing from shallow to deeplayer, to draw Yang from the shallow layer to Yin of the deeplayer, then leave the needle in the deep layer to harmonize Yin and Yang. This acupuncture method can improve the symptoms of dysphagia in patients with pseudobulbar palsy, such as swallowing and dysarthria, and is an effective treatment for dysphagia after stroke.
