Abstract:

Post-brain injury spastic state is a neurological sequelae caused by the cerebral cortex loses the control of voluntary motor function, resulting in the abnormal motor pattern of increased muscle tension and abnormal coordination ability under the control of the lower center. Brain injury is a disease with high morbidity and mortality worldwide, and spastic brain injury is a common complication, which seriously affects the quality of life of patients. No effective neuroprotective drugs have been found, and the effect of acupuncture on nerve remodeling and relieving spasm provides a feasible method for clinical treatment. Studies have proved that various acupuncture methods have positive effects on spasticity after brain injury. The pathogenesis of the spastic state after brain injury, as well as the improvement of spasticity after brain injury by different acupuncture methods is stated, and the existing problems and future research directions are forecast.
