Abstract:

Objective

To explore the clinical efficacy of Jiangzhi Ligan decoction combined with acupuncture in the treatment of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH).

Methods

From January 2019 to January 2021, 80 patients with NASH in Liaobu Hospital of Dongguan City were selected and divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 40 in each group. The control group was treated with glucurolactone tablets, while the observation group was treated with Jiangzhi Ligan decoction combined with acupuncture. Clinical efficacy, traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) symptom score, liver function index level and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups after treatment.

Results

The total effective rate of observation group and control group were 95.00% (38/40) and 80.00% (32/40), respectively. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant (χ2=4.114, P<0.05). The TCM symptom scores, alanine transaminase, total bilirubin and albumin of the two groups were compared after treatment, and the differences were statistically significant (t=55.816, 7.983, 71.054, 32.246, 15.956, 34.190, 13.447, all P<0.001). The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group and the control group were 2.50% (1/40) and 20.00% (8/40), respectively. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant (χ2= 4.507, P<0.05).

Conclusion

The clinical effect of Jiangzhi Ligan decoction combined with acupuncture in NASH is remarkable and good in safety, which is worthy of clinical application.
