Clinical study of scalp acupuncture treating post-stroke dysphagia

Abstract:

Dysphagia is a common complication after stroke, which seriously affects the rehabilitation of patients during stroke recovery. In the clinical treatment of it, acupuncture is widely used, and the application of scalp acupuncture has been tried in different ways. In this paper, the clinical research literature of acupuncture in the treatment of dysphagia after stroke in recent 15 years was collected to compare and analyze the advantages and disadvantages of different schools of acupuncture as well as the clinical advantages of scalp acupuncture combined with body acupuncture, tongue acupuncture and other therapies, and to summarize its clinical application value and general applying rules, in order to guide the future clinical treatment.
