The experience of Professor Wu Lianzhong in treating sciatica with acupuncture

Abstract:

Professor Wu Lianzhong, one of the National Famous traditional Chinese medicine Doctors, summed up the theory, principles, prescriptions, acupoints, and manipulations of acupuncture with years of clinical experience. The acupuncture methods of " unblocking channels and relieving pains" (Tongjing Zhitong) created by him has excellent therapeutic effectsin clinical practice. Professor Wu mainly selects acupuncture points with electric shock needling sensationin the Taiyang Bladder Channel of Foot and Shaoyang Gallbladder Channel of Foot to treat sciatica. The combination is precise, the prescription is strict, and the manipulation is unique, which can be used for clinical reference. This article summarizes Wu’s experience of the treatment of sciatica with the theory, principles, prescriptions, acupoints, and manipulations of acupuncture.
