Professor Wu Lianzhong, one of the National Famous traditional Chinese medicine Doctors, summed up the theory, principles, prescriptions, acupoints, and manipulations of acupuncture with years of clinical experience. The acupuncture methods of " unblocking channels and relieving pains" (Tongjing Zhitong) created by him has excellent therapeutic effectsin clinical practice. Professor Wu mainly selects acupuncture points with electric shock needling sensationin the Taiyang Bladder Channel of Foot and Shaoyang Gallbladder Channel of Foot to treat sciatica.
