Clinical research progress of acupuncture and moxibustion in treating gastralgia

Abstract:

Gastralgia is a disease whose main symptom is the pain of epigastrium. Acupuncture-moxibustion, as a therapy of epigastric pain, is simple, effective and has less side effects. This paper tries to make a systematic summary on needling, moxibustion, the combination of acupuncture and moxibustion and other therapies for gastralgia in literature of recent 5 years, and briefly reviews the application and efficacy of various therapies. Meanwhile, the deficiencies in former researches are pointed out and future prospects are proposed.This paper will provide references for future clinical researches.
