Research progress of scalp acupuncture therapy for hemiplegia gait after cerebral infarction

Abstract:

In this article the relationship between cerebral infarction and gait of hemiplegia is briefly introduced. The effects of cerebral infarction on the gait of hemiplegia are summarized from the aspects of abnormal movement patterns and gait analysis. It is pointed out that hemiplegic gait is one of basic reasons of high morbidity after cerebral infarction. Hemiplegic gait limits the movement ability in patients andhas a huge impact on their quality of life. Meanwhile, it also briefly introduces scalp acupuncture therapy in treatment of stroke with motor dysfunction. Scalp acupuncture therapy has the advantages of simple operation,convenience for needle of the exercise therapy training, which is combined with traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture and brain function localization principle. Scalp acupuncture therapy is widely used in treatment of cerebral infarction. The interactive scalp acupuncture can be more effective by "sticking to vitality" and sensory input,showing good application prospects in the treatment of cerebral infarction patients with motor dysfunction.
