Progress on traditional Chinese medicine combined Western medicine for treating post-stroke sleep disorders

Abstract:

Sleep disorder after stroke is one of the common complications after stroke, with various forms of clinical manifestations. Its pathogenesis is related with anatomical site, molecular biology, social psychology and other related factors. This study reviews pathogenesis and treatment of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine for sleep disorder after stroke, including acupuncture, traditional Chinese medicine, Western medicine, and many kinds of therapy, which suggesting a broad prospect in treatment of sleep disorder after stroke. This study also points out the present situation and deficiency of the treatment,providing reference for its diagnosis and treatment.
