Progress on Zhang’s hands and feet three needle therapy for neck, shoulder, waist and leg pain

Abstract:

The neck, shoulder, waist and leg pain is one of clinical common disease. Its etiology is complex and the cause is still unknown, even with advanced inspection instruments such as CT, nucler magnetic resonance imaging. Acupuncture has a certain advantage in the treatment of neck, shoulder,waist and leg pain, and which has many ways can be used in the treatment. Form the clinical practice, the author found that Zhang’s hands and feet three needle therapy has advantages in selecting less needle point, getting effective fast and learning easily. In this paper, the theory of Zhang’s hands and feet three needle therapy including acupoint selection and operating method is discussed, which is combined with the clinical cases, in order to help more and more clinicians to understand and use this therapy and enhance the clinical efficiency.
