Progress on acupuncture treatment for tumors

Abstract:

The curative effect of acupuncture and moxibustion treatment for tumor has been endorsed and recognized in China and abroad. This paper reviewed domestic nearly three years of acupuncture research literature in the treatment of tumor, classified and summarized acupuncture and moxibustion therapy in reducing pain and clinical cancer, drug-induced constipation, postoperative complications of the tumor, and improved immunity, relieve intractable hiccups, leukopenia, peripheral nerve toxicity. This study put forward acupuncture’s medical value and social value in the tumor treatment,at the same time discussed the deficiency of acupuncture in the clinical research of tumor, and called for continued in-depth clinical research to promote wider application of acupuncture and moxibustion treatment for tumors.
