Clinical survey of post stroke depression treated with pure acupuncture

Abstract:

To review the simple acupuncture treatment for post stroke depression of recent 10 years of research，providing reference data for the clinical treatment of the disease. Chinese HowNet fulltext databases were searched for literatures published from January 1，2003 to October 2，2013. The“acupuncture therapy in the treatment of post stroke depression”，“acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of post stroke depression”and“post stroke depression needle” were used as the keywords. A total of 273 articles were found including 35 literature articles related to the simple acupuncture treatment for post stroke depression. There was a curative effect of acupuncture treatment on the depression after stroke.The method is simple，inexpensive and less adverse reactions，which should be worth promoting the application.
