Clinical research progresses of acupuncture in the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis

Abstract:

This study retrieved and summarized articles related to the acupuncture treatment of ankylosing spondylitis（AS）of last five years. Clinical data confirmed therapeutic effects of acupuncture，moxibustion combined with Chinese herbal medicine and Western medicine in the treatment of AS.Acupuncture treatment for AS showed a significant effect，which can significantly reduce joint pain，improve function disorders and correct spinal deformity with less suffering and few side effects in AS patients. Acupuncture treatment has gradually become an important means of prevention and treatment of AS. The therapeutic method is simple. It is worth promoting. It is necessary to increase the randomized controlled trials in future clinical studies，to improve the authenticity and credibility of the data.
