To observe the effect of the consciousness-restoring resuscitation(XingnaoKaiqiao)acupuncture therapy on psychogenic vertigo.

Sixty patients with psychogenic vertigo admitted to the Department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion and the outpatient department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from November 2016 to April 2018 were selected and divided into two groups according to the random number table method. The control group was treated with western medicine Deanxit, and one tablet was taken orally in the morning. The treatment group was treated with acupuncture method of consciousness-restoring resuscitation, and 1 course was used for 2 weeks. After 2 weeks of treatment, dizziness disorder scale (DHI), hospital anxiety and depression scale (HADS) and clinical efficacy in two groups of patientswere evaluated. The clinical efficacy of the two groups was compared by χ² test. The DHI and HADS scores of the two groups were compared by t test.

In the treatment group, 17 cases were cured, 10 cases were effective, 3 cases were ineffective, and the total effective rate was 90.0% (23/30). The control group was cured in 12 cases, effective in 8 cases, and ineffective in 10 cases. The total effective rate was 66.7% (20/30). The difference of the total effective rate between the two groups was statistically significant (Z=2.02, P<0.05). There were significant differences in DHI scores before and after treatment in both groups, and after treatment between the two groups(t=11.41, 24.39, 8.42, all P<0.05). There were significant differences in HADS scores before and after treatment in both groups, and after treatment between the two groups (t=5.42, 9.98, 8.42, all P<0.05).

" Consciousness-restoring resuscitation" acupuncture therapy is effective in the treatment of psychogenic vertigo and worthy of clinical application.
