The application of spine pinching in the treatment of pediatric diseases

Abstract:

Children are with the " infantile body of pure yang" , and they have the delicate viscera underfilled with qi and blood, so it is common to see that " lungs are often insufficient" , " the spleen is often insufficient" , and " kidneys are often deficient" . Clinical pediatric diseases are mainly respiratory diseases such as colds, coughs and asthma; digestive system diseases such as infantile malnutrition, vomiting and diarrhea; neurologic diseases like enuresis. Spine pinching therapy is often applied in treating pediatric diseases because it is simple, curative, safe, reliable, and has effects of dredging channels and collaterals, regulating yin and yang, promoting qi and blood movement, improving visceral function and enhancing body resistance to disease, etc. This article briefly reviews the literature on spine pinching therapy in the treatment of pediatric diseases in the respiratory system, digestive system and neurologic system.
