Abstract:

From ancienttimes， fire-needle therapy summarized from traditional Chinese medicine literaturehas been found in the Huang Di Nei Jing， which has been widely used in the Han dynasty， and has been further developed in the Tang and Song dynasties.The fire-needle therapy enters its heydayinthe Ming dynasty，and has clarified the indications and contraindications of each period.The study introducesthe modern development of fire-needle therapy， and Professor He puren who has made the inheritance and innovation of the contribution to fire needle. After study and clinical practice of physicians， fire-needles with very simple tools， primitive methods of operation and clinical application of the narrow scope， gradually improve， develop and broaden the scope of application， put forward clinical taboo， making it become a unique medical system in acupuncture therapy.
