Abstract:

In recent years，with the wide application of fire needle in clinical practice，fire needle therapy has become a hot spot in medical science.In addition to the understanding of its traditional therapeutic efficacy， the modern medicine have also further discovery for its mechanism of curative effects.The present study has already confirmed preliminary that fire needle has a variety of curative effects， such as anti-inflammatory， analgesic， immune regulation， protection and restoration of nerves，promoting angiogenesis and the circulation of the blood，etc.This research makes the clinical application of fire needle has break through the records of ancient literature， extending to various diseases.At the same time it also provides scientific basis for fire needle treatment of diseases. This paper reviewed the resent basic research of fire needle in history，the improvement of fire needle，mechanism of action， and the clinical application in internal medicine，surgery， dermatology， orthopaedics， and gynecology，which further explain the clinical curative effect of the treatment with fire needle.These will help to get better development and promotion of fire needle therapy in clinic.
