Progress in clinical research on acupuncture therapy of aphasia after stroke

Abstract:

Aphasia after stroke is a common sequel of cerebrovascular disease. Aphasia is the language and communication disorders caused by organic brain damage in language center,which can cause great inconvenience to the patient's daily life and communication. The acupuncture therapy has a significant effect on aphasia after stroke. The keywords of stroke,aphasia and acupuncture therapy were used to research in PubMed,CNKI and Wanfang database from 2004 to 2013. The acupuncture therapy for aphasia in ten years was summarized to guide the clinical application. This study points out the existing problems and the prospects with simple acupuncture to treat aphasia.
