Abstract:

Stroke is a common cerebrovascular disease in clinical practice, and muscle tension is one of its common complications, which seriously affects the life quality of patients. The effect of conventional clinical treatment is not stable and can not effectively treat this symptom. It is imperative to explore better treatment methods. The commonly used clinical treatment methods mainly based on traditional Chinese medicine are summarized through searching the clinical research literature on the treatment of poststroke hypertonia in recent years. The advantages and limitations of different treatment are discussed and points out the extensive application and advantages of traditional Chinese medicine therapy in combination with rehabilitation treatment methods, represented by acupuncture, traditional Chinese medicine, massage, and thermotherapy. In addition, the theoretical overview and related applications of the emerging treatment methods represented by the trigger point therapy were summarized, and the future research prospects of the treatment of poststroke hypertonia were prospected.
