Abstract:

Objective

To systematically evaluate the clinical efficacy of minimally invasive techniques of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of flexor tendon stenosing tenosynovitis.

Methods

Studies with a computerized randomized controlled trial on minimally invasive treatment of flexor tendon stenosing tenosynovitis in Chinese medicine were retrieved from the Chinese Journal Full-text Database, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, Wanfang Database, VIP Journal Database, PubMed, EMBASE, and Cochrane Library by computer. The time range was from the construction of the database to February 2020. Literature was screened strictly according to the exclusion criteria, and data analysis was performed using Revman 5.3.

Results

A total of 14 articles were included, covering 1 628 patients. Meta analysis results show that in the minimally invasive treatment group of Chinese medicine, the total effective rate [OR=7.42, 95% CI (5.15, 10.69), Z=10.75, P<0.000 01], the recurrence rate [OR = 0.13, 95% CI (0.06 , 0.29), Z=4.88, P<0.000 01], and visual analog scores[MD = -1.34, 95% CI (-2.37, -0.31), Z=2.55, P=0.01] all showed better results than those in the control group.

Conclusion

The minimally invasive techniques of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of flexor tendon stenosing tenosynovitis are effective and worthy of promotion.
