Mechanisms and clinical analysis of cupping treatment in pain

Abstract:

Cupping method depends on the lubricating medium. Cupping is adsorbed on the human body back,and is pushed back and forth,which plays roles of KAI XIE COU LI,FU ZHENG QU XIE and XI XIE WAI CHU. There are different therapeutic effects due to different lubricating medium of cupping,such as cold and heat. Cupping plays therapeutic effects of moxibustion,cupping,scraping,massage and drug therapy. Cupping treats on skins,which can dredge the meridians,regulate functions of viscera,promote circulation of qi and activate blood,dispel evil detoxification,relieve blockage and analgesia,and clear heat for detumescence. During cupping,functional status of subjects was used as the basis. The different kinds of manuduction and different lubricating medium of cupping are used to stumulate acupoints,which strengthen the body resistance to eliminate pathogenic factor,especially for pain treatment. The main pathogenesis of pain is impassability pain and not glory pain. Clinical manifestations of pain are diverse and complex. The impassability and not glory for pain often occur simultaneously. Therefore the dredging method should be considered first in clinical for treatment of pain. Cupping can eliminate the cause of pain by regulating breath,promoting blood circulation,and block pain perception,which shows good clinical effect.
